Ganiga Premier League (GPL-2025) is proudly organized by Dakshina Kannada Zilla Ganiga Samaja Seva Sangha (R.), Mangaluru. The tournament is driven by the mission of bringing together the youth of the Ganiga community. The theme of this year’s tournament “Where Unity Plays First” reflects the true spirit of the event.

The journey began with a grand Logo Launch, Title Reveal, and Banner Release on 22nd June 2025 at The Puttur Club, Puttur. A total of 8 teams, owned by enthusiastic community members, have registered 120 players. The much-anticipated auction of players took place on 7th September 2025 at Hotel Kudla, Mangaluru.

The tournament will light up St. Philomena College Ground, Puttur , on Sunday, 26th October 2025, featuring a thrilling line-up of 16 matches 12 league matches, 2 qualifiers, 1 eliminator, and the grand final.

GPL-2025 isn’t just about cricket! Alongside the matches, the event will also host a Business Expo and a Science Model Making Competition for kids, creating a vibrant platform for entrepreneurship, innovation, and knowledge sharing.

ಪ್ರಿಯ ಸಮುದಾಯ ಭಾಂದವರೇ,

ನಮ್ಮ ಸಮಾಜವು ಯಕ್ಷಗಾನ ಕಲೆ, ಕ್ರೀಡಾಕ್ಷೇತ್ರ, ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ಹಾಗೂ ಔದ್ಯೋಗಿಕವಾಗಿ ನಮ್ಮ ಪರಂಪರೆ, ಆಚಾರ-ವಿಚಾರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಬಹಳಷ್ಟು ಮುಂದುವರೆದಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಲು ಬಹಳ ಹೆಮ್ಮೆ ಎನಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಆದರೆ ನಮ್ಮ ಸಮಾಜದ ಪ್ರತಿಭೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಸರಿಯಾದ ವೇದಿಕೆ ಇಲ್ಲದ ಕಾರಣ ತಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರತಿಭೆಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರದರ್ಶಿಸಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಗುತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ. ಇತರ ಜಾತಿ ಸಮಾಜದವರು ಸಂಘಟಿತವಾಗಿ ಒಟ್ಟುಗೂಡಿ ತಮ್ಮ ಬಲವನ್ನು ಪ್ರದರ್ಶಿಸಿ ರಾಜಕೀಯ ಲಾಭ ಗಳಿಸಿ, ಸರ್ಕಾರದಿಂದ ಬಹಳಷ್ಟು ಅನುಕೂಲಗಳನ್ನು ಪಡೆದಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಇದೆ ಉದ್ದೇಶವಿಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡು ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಕನ್ನಡ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಐದು ಸಮಾಜ ಸೇವಾ ಸಂಘಗಳ ಪ್ರಮುಖರನ್ನು ಸೇರಿಸಿ ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಕನ್ನಡ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಗಾಣಿಗ ಸಮಾಜ ಸೇವಾ ಸಂಘವನ್ನು ದಿನಾಂಕ 29-12-2024 ರಂದು ಮಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಪುರಭವನದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿವಿಧ ರಾಜಕೀಯ ನಾಯಕರ ಸಮ್ಮುಖದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಜೃಂಭಣೆಯಿಂದ ಉದ್ಘಾಟಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.ಹಿರಿಯರೂ ನಮ್ಮೆಲ್ಲರ ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶಕರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಶಂಕರ ಪಾಟಾಳಿ ಮುಕ್ರಂಪಾಡಿಯವರು ಗೌರವಾರ್ಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾಗಿ ಶುಭಾಶಯಗಳನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.

ನಮ್ಮ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಸಂಘ ಮುಖೇನ, ನಮ್ಮ ಶ್ರೀ ಪೆರ್ಣೆ ಮುಚಿಲೋಟ್ ಭಗವತಿ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಒಳಪಟ್ಟ ಎಲ್ಲ ಯುವಕರನ್ನು ಒಂದೇ ವೇದಿಕೆಯಡಿ ಸೇರಿಸುವ ಉದ್ದೇಶದಿಂದ GPL – Ganiga Premier League ನಿಗದಿತ ಓವರ್‌ಗಳ ಕ್ರಿಕೆಟ್ ಪಂದ್ಯಾಟವನ್ನು ಪುತ್ತೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಆಯೋಜಿಸಿರುವುದು ನನಗೆ ಬಹಳ ಹೆಮ್ಮೆಯ ಸಂಗತಿ.

ನಮ್ಮ ಯುವ ಸಮುದಾಯ ಒಗ್ಗಟ್ಟಿನಿಂದ ಇನ್ನೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳನ್ನು ನಡೆಸಲಿ ಎಂದು ನಾನು ಹಾರೈಸುತ್ತೇನೆ.
